Tranche 1 consultation

About this consultation and how to participate

The Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action invites you to help shape its updated flagship Guide, The Role of Finance Ministries in Driving Climate Action: A Guide to Economic Transformation and Resilience.

The Guide brings together practical policy approaches and country experiences to support Ministries of Finance in integrating climate considerations into economic strategy, fiscal policy and finance. This first tranche of the updated guide is being published as a consultation draft so that your feedback can strengthen its practical relevance and usefulness across different country circumstances.

We particularly welcome contributions from Ministries of Finance and Partners of the Coalition, alongside technical experts, academia, civil society and other interested stakeholders and non-Coalition member countries.

How to participate

Explore the consultation draft on this website and complete the online consultation form  by 30 November 2026. You can focus on the areas or themes most relevant to your work; you do not need to review the entire draft.

We welcome feedback on:

  • How the Guide could support policy analysis, planning and decision-making.
  • Where implementation guidance needs strengthening.
  • How well it reflects your country’s opportunities and constraints.
  • Additional country examples.
  • Factual corrections, updated evidence.
  • How easy the website is to navigate and use.

For specific comments, please identify the relevant Action Area or section and, where possible, provide a source or suggested correction. You can also use the form to propose a case study or share an implementation lesson, including what worked and what proved challenging.

We will review the feedback and use it to refine the Guide before final publication, sharing a summary of “what we heard and changed”. Further content will be released for consultation in February and April 2027.
